Preschool Mother's Day Tea Party

Preschool Mother's Day Tea Party

At our preschool tea party the children sing 2 songs for the moms. This year we sang "l'm Bringing Home a Baby Bumble Bee" and the " Cuppycake Song"
Homemade teapot sugar cookies
Hand cut shilouette Mother's Day cards with tissue paper flowers and gold and silver glitter paper flower centers. We used a circle punch and sizzix die cut machine for the flowers. Inside the card was a poem about finger prints.

Teapot place mats made by the kids

The gift was a the child's handprint on a hot pad. I really like to make this simple inexpensive gift because it can be easily stored in the kitchen drawer for years to come. I often have siblings in my class a year or two later and then they can have a set of handprint hot pads.

I got lazy this year a bought cupcakes.

Hydrangea center pieces on mini crates for decorations.

Teacups with flowers in them as a picture holder. I went around the classroom to each mom and preschooler and took their picture with an instant camera (fugi instax) and placed in the teacup as a keepsake. I saw this cute idea on Pinterest.
